Welcome to the 21st Annual BWAM, May 2, 2010 in Kansas City, Missouri.. Originally established by Guy Girratono and the Disciples of Jesus Ministries in 1990, along with the assistance of Freedom of Road Riders (F.O.R.R.), this effort has raised over $530,000 for the City Union Mission.   Money raised by BWAM is used by the City Union Mission to support homeless individuals and families in crisis sitatuations - with funds that would otherwise not be available. Every dollar raised by bikers in support of this effort goes to City Union Mission operations funds - all overhead costs are paid for by generous sponsors who make this event happen.  Please take the opportunity to check out our sponsors listed at the link marked "Sponsors"  and express your appreciation to them for going above and beyond the call of duty.  If you're interested in becoming a corporate sponsor - please go to the corporate sponsor page for more information. The money raised by you - the bikers - pays for eye glasses, utility bills, bus tokens for job interviews, and so much more.  A grateful mother of two stated "My children may not know they have angels on their bikes, but I'll be sure to ask them to say an extra prayer for you." Each year, letters of thanks pour in from grateful individuals who would have otherwise gone without. Sponsorship Riders and passengers are encouraged to get sponsors to pledge "per mile".  There is a $20 minimum per person for the ride.  Passengers receive the same benefits as riders. $20 - New participants completing the run will receive a commemorative patch and rocker.  (Returning riders will receive a rockers with the current year.) $100 and $500. Riders collecting $100 or $500 will receive a pin signifying the amount. 5, 10, 15 years. Riders who have ridden 5, 10 or 15 years will receive a special patch. Make checks payable to City Union Mission with "BWAM pledge" in the memo line.

Let those who ride . . Decide

Do you ever get tired of people not giving you a choice to decide what to do with your life?  It's your life - YOU can decide what you want to do with it, right? Then how come people keep nagging at us all of the time?  "Don't do this!" and "You'd better do that!"     Don't ride a scooter!     Don't wear blue jeans.     Don't let your hair grow.     Don't grow a beard! Then if that's not bad enough, they tell us what to do!     Do wear a helmet!     Do go to church!     Do shave!     Do read the Bible. Because if you don't live and look like us . . . . YOU'RE GOING STRAIGHT TO HELL!!!! To me, they are missing the real issue.  None of the things I mentioned before actually save you from HELL.  Only Jesus can! See, salvation is realizing you are unable to earn your way to heaven - Jesus paid the price for you!     Don't depend on yourself to get to Heaven!     Do depend on Jesus Christ, who paid for your sins! So, if you want to ride in the wind forever, all you have to do is believe in Him. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotton Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life" John 3:16. So I say - LET THOSE WHO RIDE DECIDE! . . . AN ETERNITY IN HEAVEN OR HELL???
